Shannon Morrison has been playing wheelchair basketball for 13 years, ever since a new friend invited her to a pick-up game in a local park. Her interest in the sport quickly grew into a passion, and now she can’t imagine her life without it.

But that wasn’t always the case. Physical activity in a wheelchair isn’t always easy, and there were a number of years when she was younger that she didn’t participate in any exercise at all. Once Shannon started to experience the benefits of being physically active, she knew she had to share the gift with other people with disabilities.

Shannon created this site to spread the word that fitness is not off limits to people with mobility issues, vision or hearing impairments, or learning disabilities. In fact, fitness is especially important to people with disabilities because it makes you healthier AND happier! From water sports to cycling to yoga to hiking, there is an activity for everyone. Shannon hopes that this website will help you find YOUR passion and improve your quality of life, just like she did.
